what is yoga nidra?

Nidra is a deeply relaxing and meditative style of yoga suitable for everyone. This workshop has a focus on Bhakti yoga.

“Bhakti yoga is the yoga of the heart. It is a devotional practice that comes in many different forms, including singing to an object of devotion using mantra (sacred sounds), kirtan and bhajans (devotional songs) and other musical means. The aim of bhakti yoga is to connect with the heart space, which is considered by bhakti yogis to be the simplest, fastest route to spiritual enlightenment.”

what do i need?

All that is required is a willingness to be still in the present moment and to be open to what happens!

Everything you need will be provided, we just suggest you wear something comfortable and bring a along a water bottle and arrive at least 10 minutes before the workshop start time to get settled on your mat.

Exploring variations of sun salutations, where we connect breath + movement. Flowing consciously with Ujjayi breath to ignite our inner fire, whilst finding moments of stillness + calm to reflect.

Each year yogis around the world celebrate the summer solstice to find their centre. On the northern hemisphere’s longest day of the year, be part of a global celebration with this special class.

Throughout history, many cultures have associated the summer solstice with a renewal of mind, body and spirit and a celebration of creative expression. And what better place to celebrate than surrounded by nature.

The solstice has been celebrated in many forms since the dawn of recorded human history and marks that yearly moment when the sun is at its highest position in the sky for the longest period of time.

Claire and Vicky have created a special class to mark the significance of this day with our yoga practice - encouraging connection with your own personal rhythm and ability to respond to subtle cues that promote overall wellness.

The solstice is a time to celebrate our ability to extend; like the trees and plants around us to the sun's energy. We are reminded of this through the practice of yoga, especially on the summer solstice, giving us a focal point and uniting our purpose to achieve our ambitions whatever they may be.
